Hit Week, active since 2009, is considered the most important festival dedicated exclusively to the diffusion of the Italian music system in the world.
During the fifteen previous editions held in the United States, South America, Asia and Europe, all the major Italian artists performed in some of the most iconic places in the world. Thanks in particular to the "business oriented" activities of the festival, they were able to say their career and spread their catalog outside of Italy.
One of the missions of Hit Week has always been to create opportunities even for non-established artists who, thanks to a virtuous system focused on involving the music industry of the individual countries where the event takes place, and to the simultaneous presence of artists considered "big" have managed to achieve a visibility otherwise difficult to obtain abroad and to affirm their career and spread their catalog in those territories.
The sixteenth edition of the festival is scheduled between 14 and 20 October 2022 in the United States in the cities of Miami and Los Angeles.
A Unique cast of talents with stellar additions in the coming weeks and also with Hit Week Talent 4 artists will be able to perform in the United States
Cosmo is an alien. An unidentified flying object landing on Planet ItaloPop. His videos have been viewed millions of times, his songs are played on the radio, his live shows are always packed to capacity (on the latest one, held on on February 2nd 2019 at Mediolanum Forum in Milan, he played to an audience of over 9,000 people), and he also collaborated with very popular italian act like Marracash in his multi-platinum album “Persona” (on the song Greta Thumberg). Yet his music is still firmly rooted in the underground and in the continuous clash of different influences: he works with a bunch of cult heroes of the club scene like Bawrut, Hugosan from Front the Cadeux, Underspreche, Fabrizio Mammarella of the italo-cult label Slow Motion and many others.
Cosmo's music is pop music, the kind of bizarro-pop with an eye to catchy tunes and one to club culture. It's free, psychedelic, joyful as well as melancholy, dreamy and down-to-earth, dirty and pure, all at the same time. Now he is working on a new album - the working title is “La terza estate dell’amore (The Third Summer of Love) - another step to a new direction when all the elements of his music will be melted together to create a very personal sound who follow the shape of italian classics like Lucio Battisti’s Anima Latina but with the feet in the future and the head in the present. The Third Summer of Love, infact, is both a personal and a political album that Cosmo wrote in the last couple of years but who rayses his peak during the pandemic of Covid19.

On May 16 Diodato represents Italy in the Europe Shine A Light show, performing at the Verona Arena with his "Fai Rumore" in an unpublished version arranged for the occasion.
On May 22nd, his new single "Another summer" (Carosello Records) is released. The unpublished, which was written in these months of closure, tells of a suspended normality and a changed everyday life, with the gaze of those who look out at the world from the window of their home, scrutinizing what happens outside from a new point of view, that of those who observe from within. The song, this summer's alternative catchphrase, is in the top 20 of the Earone rankings and first among the independents.
On 6 July he was awarded at the Nastri d'Argento at MAXXI in Rome for his "What a wonderful life" as "Best Original Song", part of the soundtrack of "La Dea Fortuna" by Ferzan Ozpetek and during the evening he paid tribute to great Maestro Ennio Morricone with an acoustic version of “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso”.

Diodato is back live in summer 2020 with new and unpublished appointments, the "Concerts of another summer", which take their name from the single "Another summer" and whose dates have almost all sold out.
Unpublished appointments, in the name of a new unscheduled musical dialogue that saw the artist play live in some extraordinary places, in compliance with the current rules of the moment.
On the occasion of the 77th International Film Festival in Venice, Diodato was awarded the Special Soundtrack Stars Award "Music & Cinema", an award for his extraordinary harmony with the world of cinema and was the first protagonist of the "Extraordinary Openings" of the Venice Pavilion, with the extraordinary participation of Ferzan Özpetek, for a special dialogue celebrating the union between music and cinema.
On 12 September Diodato opens the Closing Ceremony of the 77th Venice International Film Festival by performing live with Rodrigo d 'Erasmo in one of the most famous pieces of his repertoire, "Ora".
On November 8, Diodato triumphs at the MTV Europe Music Awards as "Best Italian Act".
On November 20 the new single "Fino a makeci disappire" is released, entered in the Top 20 of EarOne and contained, as "Fai Rumore" (double Platinum) and "What a wonderful life", in the fourth album of unreleased "CHE VITA MERAVIGLIOSA ”(Carosello Records), certified Gold. The piece, which in terms of sounds and themes manages to be delicate and decisive at the same time, is written entirely by Diodato and, starting from the sense of resignation and cancellation of the end of a relationship, of an experience that belongs to a past time, it comes to consecrate something greater, something that, in “this elsewhere” now far from the smallness and misunderstandings of the past, seems to belong to a plan in which everything finds a meaning. It is as if this time finally offered us the opportunity to recognize the importance of a concept of love that goes beyond individual boundaries.
From November 29th, DIODATO "STORIES OF ANOTHER SUMMER" is available exclusively on RaiPlay, a docu-series, produced by Atomic, born from the desire to collect sensations, emotions, pieces of experience that the singer-songwriter recorded during the summer lives that in recent months they have led him to cross a different Italy in a different year. It is the narration of an unexpected summer that has become a tale, a special journey between past, present and future, between music, places, words and encounters. It is a story of himself through the songs and cities that marked his life, on a journey that crosses Italy "to rediscover beauty", to discover the possibility of getting back into the game, of starting over. In this journey together with Diodato, there will be Manuel Agnelli, Rodrigo D’Erasmo, Daniele Luchetti, Ferzan Ozpetek and Michele Riondino, each protagonist of a "story", of a fragment of life shared with him. Aosta, Milan, Rome and Venice are instead the cities of the past and present of the singer-songwriter crossed on the descent towards Taranto, the place of the soul, towards the sea, in search of a horizon that is finally open to the future.
At the end of 2020 Diodato receives the Telegatto (the historic recognition of Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni) as "Best musician of the year".
On Tuesday 2 March 2021, the artist was super-guest of the 71st edition of the Sanremo Festival, opening the opening night with his "Fai Rumore" (and, later, with a medley of "What a wonderful life" and "Fino a make us disappear ”) which returned to the Ariston stage one year after the victory after becoming a hymn of union and hope for all Italians.
Diodato signs the main song of Il Divin Codino, available on Netflix from May 26th. THE MAN BEHIND THE CHAMPION, will be released on May 14 at the same time as the official video clip on YouTube. THE MAN BEHIND THE CHAMPION is the faithful tale in music of the legend of Roberto Baggio. The song is a fast-paced mid-tempo with an enthralling rhythm that, as never before, sees Antonio inspired by sinking his roots in the myth of the Raffaello of Italian football. A dynamic and exuberant pleated arrangement of rock acts as a carpet for the words of Diodato who, with his gentle timbre, builds a crescendo in which emotions of an all-Italian story make room, the story of the divine champion.
After the 2020 summer lives, Diodato toured Italy with his music also in the summer of 2021, concluding the tour with a concert at the Verona Arena on 19 September (the first major live event announced by the Arena in 2021).
On May 10, 2022, during the first semifinal of the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, Diodato made the Palalpitour of Turin resonate, as a super guest, with a suggestive and unique performance and an unpublished and alternative version of his Fai Rumore, with which in 2020 he triumphed at the Sanremo Festival, beating all records.
With this performance, the singer-songwriter announced his overseas tour which, from September, will touch the main cities of Europe.
With his European Tour 2022 Diodato will start on 21 September from the Cafè de la Danse in Paris to continue on 23 September at Studio Foce in Lugano, on 27 September at Café Berlin in Madrid, on 28 September at Luz de Gas in Barcelona, on 1 October at the Espace Lumen in Brussels
